Training with FITA – The Flooring Industry Training Association

In an era of technical advancement, many changes in product and installation techniques are evident in our industry. If you are a Flooring Professional, why not enroll on one of the many courses offered by FITA? As FITA has the full support and cooperation of the National Institute of Carpet and Floorlayers and the Contract Flooring Association, both CFA and NICF members are entitled to a discount as a benefit of membership.

FITA has a fully equipped training centre at Loughborough in Leicestershire, where our standard courses are run and has courses to suit not only real beginners just getting started in the industry, but upskilling courses aimed towards seasoned professionals, such as those wishing to become NICF Master Fitters, as well as being able to facilitate those individuals or companies that require bespoke courses. FITA currently offer no less than 26 standard courses for both domestic and commercial installers. Short courses from one to five days are available as well as tailored courses.

For the domestic installer, courses range from subfloor preparation to sheet vinyl installation, with a number of varying courses (dependant on the installer's ability) in woods, laminates and carpets, with courses on moisture and planning and estimating.

Similar standard courses are available for commercial flooring as well as a series of one day assessments for the commercial installer looking to gain the FITA QA card.
