Joining Membership Fees
Fees to join the NICF 2026 – 2027

Trainee Fitter
Trainee Fitter membership applicants should send the pro-rata fee (see below) and a completed application form.

Fitter
Applicants should send only the administration fee of £30 plus VAT with their completed application form. The annual subscription will be invoiced on a pro-rata basis on acceptance into the Institute.

Accredited Fitter
The administration fee for joining the NICF as an Accredited Fitter is £30 plus VAT. Applicants for accredited fitter status should send the administration fee plus the appropriate assessment fee. Assessment is available through on-site assessment or assessment at the FITA Training Centre at the rate of £175 plus VAT per category. Please state where you would prefer to take the assessment at the time of application.
The annual subscription will be invoiced on a pro-rata basis on acceptance into the Institute. -
Master Fitter
The administration fee for joining the NICF as a Master Fitter is £30 plus VAT. Applicants for master fitter status should send the administration fee plus the appropriate assessment fee:
On-site assessment: £320 plus VAT per category (carpet and laminate only).
Assessment at a FITA training centre: assessment is available at the FITA training centre at a special rate of £175 plus VAT per category.
The annual subscription will be invoiced on a pro-rata basis on acceptance into the Institute.
Associate Members
Associate membership applicants should send the pro-rata annual subscription fee (see table) with a completed application form.
Retailer Members
Retailer membership applicants should send the pro-rata annual subscription fee (see table) with a completed application form.
Patron Members
Patron membership applicants should send the pro-rata annual subscription fee (see table) with a completed application form.
Please note administration fees are non-refundable
On acceptance to the Institute you will be charged the appropriate subscription fee.
